The Ultimate Post Grad Playlist

Here’s a fun fact about me: every Monday afternoon during my senior year of college, I hosted my own radio show called Gingham Girl Goes Old School. If it hasn’t already become apparent by the name of this blog, I have a deep, deep love for gingham prints. As a communications major, my hook for the show was that I would wear a gingham button down every Monday, so people would remember to “tune into Gingham Girl Goes Old School, the best songs of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.”

While I had to take off my DJ cap (or in this case, headphones) when I graduated, I still enjoy creating music sets. Instead of my song choices playing on airwaves, they merely remain in the home of my Spotify music library. However, I thought it was only fitting to repurpose my most recent playlist for today’s Post Grad post. So, without further adieu, here is my list of 31 songs that make up what is, in my opinion, the best post grad playlist. Take Anita Miller’s advice in Almost Famous, Listen to it with a candle burning and you’ll see your entire future.”
